Junior Courses

Our popular Junior Learner programme for 11-18 year olds runs throughout the year with peak demand during July and August (the UK Summer holidays). We generally require a minimum of x5 students in order to open a class however, please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

The programmes are carefully planned and tailored to the specific needs of the groups. We work closely with the home institutions to ensure that the course participants have an enjoyable time and a fulfilling learning experience. Please contact PELS well in advance to ensure that we can match your exact requirements.

Features of the junior programmes:

• A high level of care and supervision.

Academic programme

We have our own syllabus which reflects the competencies and capabilities stated in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages as well as traditions and modern life in English-speaking countries.

Programme details:

• 15 hours per week (11-18 year olds).
• Classes are usually up to 12 students (rising to a maximum of 15 at peak times).
• Learning materials, reports and certificates provided.

Activities programme

A trip abroad would not be complete without fun activities. Our social, sports and cultural activities are planned to provide opportunities to Junior Learners to actively use new language and interact more effectively with each other as well as other people.

Programme details:

• Full-day and half-day trips (please note that the inclusion of entrance fees to attractions is subject to the agreed fees).
• Day-time activities (sports, creative workshops, local visits, etc.)
• All activities are supervised by leaders (1 for a group of up to 12 learners)
