Miniport at Gunwharf Quays

Family boat hire with a difference, for all ages! Drive a miniature ship in our sheltered boating pool. Our fleet of ships include ferries, a Royal Navy destroyer and a fire boat. The ships are electric powered, easy to drive and seat up to four. No previous experience required.

Spinnaker Tower

Royal Navy Submarine Museum

Explosion! The Museum of Naval Firepower

Explosion! the Museum of Naval Firepower, is a hands on, interactive Museum set in the historic setting of a former gunpowder and munitions depot at Priddy’s Hard, on the Gosport side of Portsmouth Harbour.

The Isle of Wight

This beautiful island is only short trip  by hovercraft from Clarence Pier in Southsea or by ferry from Gunwharf Quays.  The Isle of Wight has many places of interest on it, including the holiday towns of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor.  One of Englands most popular holiday resorts and well worth a visit or two.

  • London (1 hour 30 mins) - Visit London's world class attractions, shops and restaurants and enjoy exciting special events.
  • Winchester (50 mins) – Ancient capital of England, cathedral, King Arthur’s Round Table and historic market place.
  • Brighton (1 hour 15 mins) - Lively seafront, fantastic restaurants and shops, The Royal Pavilion, historic pier.
  • Bath (2 hours 20 mins) – World heritage sight, Roman Baths, Georgian housing, cathedral, superb shops.
  • Cardiff (3 hours 20 mins) – Capital of Wales, castle, lively & fun city.
  • Southampton (40 mins by train) – Large shopping centre and famous port (The Titanic sailed from here in 1912).
