The School

Our school is a school with what we call ‘total care ethics’. This means that when you become one of our students, we welcome you as a new member of our school’s extended family. We work to ensure your happiness, safety and comfort throughout the duration of your course. We are approachable on any matter concerning your studies, your welfare and even your well-being. We care about you and look after you as we would wish to be looked after in a foreign country, and also as we would expect our own family to be looked after.

Our school building is a completely refurbished terraced house dating back to the early 1800s. Hampshire Terrace is one of the original housing areas in Southsea. Fully renovated and kitted out with the latest mod cons, the school has:

• Student common room with sofas and plasma TV/DVD
• Student library

There are countless cafes and eateries within easy reach. We are in very close proximity to the University café which sells meals at student-discount and Halal prepared meat. For even more choice and a variety of famous food chain restaurants, banks, clothing stores and gift shops, Portsmouth's Commercial Road with the Cascades indoor shopping centre is ten minutes' walk away. Also ten minutes away is Portsmouth's waterfront landmark, Gunwharf Quays.

For transport, the train station is very close (within ten minutes walk) and you can get to London in under one and a half hours. The local bus numbers 40, 1, 1A and 1C stop right outside, in front of the school. You can walk across the road and relax in Ravelin park, a perfect picnic spot for the Summer, or Southsea beach and fun fair are also close to the school in easy walking distance. Old Portsmouth with its famous pubs and fishing trade at Camber Dock is just a short, leisurely stroll away.
