Activities
We understand the importance of encouraging the use of your English language skills in a laid back, friendly environment. By tailoring time towards your personal interests we help you to improve your speaking confidence to become more at home with the language, making progress faster and easier. We run a flexible extra-curricular activity programme arranged on demand, all year round.
Junior Learners
We offer an all day programme for Junior Learners that is both fun and informative. Unlike some schools who leave students to their own devices once the morning session is over, here at PELS, Under 18s enjoy a fully supervised social programme with relaxing, “down time” activities. Students are spoilt for choice with typical popular activities including:
· Bowling
· Volleyball
· Football
· Cinema
· Swimming
· Basketball
· Yoga
· Tennis
· Cycling

Over 18s can also enjoy a good choice of afternoon and evening activities, ranging from bowling tournaments and football matches to Conversation and Debate Club. These activities help you build your vocabulary and perfect your pronunciation with your classmates and teacher.

Interested in drama and theatre? Students at PELS can get involved in drama workshops and theatre activities in the prestigious Kings Theatre (www.kings-southsea.com), which is over one hundred years old.
Excursions
On demand, we arrange a choice of excursions to nearby cities such as Oxford, Brighton and of course London, and to famous tourist attractions such as Stonehenge. These fun days out give students the chance to experience first-hand historical and cultural diversity, visiting some of the most famous places in England.
